So we ARE in Canada afterall!  We just hit snow near Gulf Lake on our way from Winnipeg to Calgary today – too bad it’s too dark to see and everyone’s sleeping anyway!  We hear it’s pretty slippery in Calgary, so pray for us as we head into an ice rink!

Here are a few pictures from the 14 hour bus ride!

Yesterday was our last in Winnipeg.  We went to Linden Christian School for an assembly (held in the neighbouring church – Immanuel), and the students were terrific!  They served us some KFC after the performance and spent some time with the kids.  Here’s how the morning/afternoon looked from the eyes of the MCF kids through their “kid cam”:

After Linden hanging out with the students at Linden, we were off to Portage la Prairie for an evening show at the William Glesby Centre.  Dorothy Funk, her sister Ruth and their team cooked up a delicious meal for us in Newton before the performance – yummy stew and homemade bread.  At each of our plates we had cards with verses and messages of encouragement that were written by a local women and her seven children, whose father passed away a couple years ago.  We were all so touched by this act of love, that we took turns standing up and reading aloud what was in our card.

After dinner, it was off to the William Glesby Centre in downtown Portage.  What a fantastic facility!  They had just decorated for Christmas and it definitely got us in the spirit!  The house was packed, the show was terrific, and we all left wanting to come back again someday.  Here are a couple pictures the kids took that night backstage:
