We got up bright and early this morning to pack up and hit the road for Grande Prairie.  It was sad to leave the Maureen and the whole Kehler family behind – as well as Jan, Wendy & Sheridan – our time in Calgary went far too fast!

On our way to G.P. we stopped quickly in Edmonton to get work done on the tour bus and have some lunch.  Of course a lunch with the Mully’s isn’t your typical dining experience.  The staff and patrons at the Flying J rest-stop were treated to some songs by the choir and there were a few wet eyes in the crowd.

We arrived in Grande Prairie around 7:30 p.m. and were warmly received by some great friends – Alden & Natasha Harms (including Alden’s sister), Henry & Irene Hamm, Gail Biggs (and her daugther), Rick Friesen and a few others.  After singing a song for our friends, the team booked into their rooms at our new home for the next few days – the Sandman Hotel – and grabbed some dinner.

We are very excited about our next few days in Grande Prairie!  The G.P. committee members have been very busy preparing for our visit and have already raised over $43,000 and created a deafening buzz in the town through their Milk it for Mully campaign.  They got the whole town involved in raising funds by collecting refunds from recycled milk containers and the school that raised the most money per student won a performance by the Mully choir!  You can learn more about the campaign on their blog: www.milkit4mully.blogspot.com.
